Banksy is believed to have been born around 1974 in or near Bristol, England. He started making art as a teenager and was involved in the local graffiti scene. Early in his life, he reportedly had trouble at school and even got into minor legal issues. He began as a freehand graffiti artist before switching to stencils to work faster and avoid getting caught. His early work gained attention in Bristol and later in London. Over time, he developed a unique style that mixed humor with political commentary. These early experiences helped shape the artist he would become.
