How fast can a Hyperloop train go?

Hyperloop systems are designed to reach speeds of up to about 760 miles per hour, or around 1,220 kilometers per hour. That is close to the speed of sound and much faster than traditional trains. At these speeds, traveling between cities could take just minutes instead of hours. For example, a trip that normally takes several hours by car could be done in under an hour. However, current test runs have reached much lower speeds so far. The technology is still being developed and tested. So while the potential speed is very high, real-world performance is still catching up.
